California Driver License

I went to DMV in Torrance this morning and had a written test. I passed it! At the registration, I showed them my California driver license, which already expired in 2003. They said my personal information was still in file, so I didn't need to show my passport or other official documents. If I showed them only my Georgia license, I had to come back again with my passport. I thought I had to have a new license, but it was OK to renew the old one. So I have a Georgia license and California license at the same time now. Georgia State issues official driver licence on the same day, but California State issues an interim driver license (just a piece of paper, not a card), which is effective for 60 days. They will send me official license (a card) in a month.

Stock price rises if selling, falls if buying

I took profit on Google stock at around $500 last week. Stock price rises after you sell it, and it falls after you buy it. Google rose to $518 today. Investors have to understand this theory.

Location tracking on this blog

Above chart is my blog reader's location tracking as at June 4. Wow! U.S.A is No.1 now. This is already international blog, isn't it?

Back to Torrance, California

I left Travelodge at 9am, visited my customers in Planet Hollywood, Stratosphere, Palace Station, Las Vegas Outlet Center, South Point. It was around 107F today. Very hot! I left Las Vegas for Los Angeles at around 3pm. Photo is around the boarder of Nevada and California. There are 4000-foot mountains in front of me. This business trip was not so successful than expected, but I believe I can do something next time.

PS:I visited a lot of casinos, but this is a business trip. So no gamble, nothing, only business. Believe me.

PS2:I heard rebroadcasting of Bob Dylan's "Theme Time Radio" on XM twice during driving. I also heard Grateful Dead Special. I don't have many CDs of the Dead, but they has a tune named "Fire on the Mountain", which is a kind of my nickname, isn't it?

Burning sands in Las Vegas

I'm now in a room at Travelodge Las Vegas South Strip. The room isn't comfortable without refrigerator, but the location is excellent between Polo and Planet Hollywood. $59 for one night isn't bad for business trip. Yes, this trip is my first long drive since I moved to Los Angeles. Four and half hours drive from Los Angeles. I have drove 450 miles a day in Georgia, Alabama or Mississippi, so only 280 miles is a piece of cake.

Today's Las Vegas had more than 100F, very very hot. I "understand" from the air or google earth that Las Vegas is in deserts, but now I "know" it is really in deserts. I saw real burning sands on I-15.

My boss and I went to Hamada of Japan for dinner, which is said the best Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas. But I was very disappointed at the foods here. Appetizer is so so, BUT, my main dish "Ten Zaru", Japanese cold "soba" with Tempura was terrible, with too soft noodle and bad-looking Tempura. I can't believe this is the best Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas. I never come back here again.

Music Magazin (June) and driver license written test

I arrived LAX safely a few minutes ago.

On the flight to LAX, I read Music Magazine (June). I don't buy any magazine usually, but this issue has articles about Bob Dylan's DVD, "Don't Look Back" deluxe edition, which Japanese version was released recently. So I bought the magazine. I already have DVD. Most of the articles are very disappointed because they have nothing new to me, except the interview with D.A. Pennebaker, Director of the movie.

I also studied driver license written test. I have to get California driver license very soon.

At ATL

I believe I could do a good presentation at the sales meeting in Crowne Plaza Hotel. I'm in Atlanta Airport and waiting for NWA flight 948 to Memphis. Airport is busy today. I like aisle seat but I have a window seat to Memphis. I couldn't change it, but I could change from middle seat to aisle seat of the MEM-to-LAX flight .

Checked in Crowne Plaza Hotel

I just checked in Crowne Plaza Hotel, next to Peremeter Mall in Atlanta. Flight from LAX was not bad, but I had no time to have a lunch at Memphis Airport because of short transit time. Photo is the North West's DC-9 jet from Memphis to ATL. I wanted to go to the town, because in June Memphis celebrates the 50th anniversary of soul pioneer Stax Records. Booker T will appear at a finale concert at The Orpheum on June 22.
